HER MELODY LINGERS ON
“Her Melody Lingers On” is a benefit event that takes place at Chandler Recital Hall of Diehn Hall on the ODU campus. The centerpiece of each event is musical performance, bracketed by a social gathering, light refreshments, and display tables. All proceeds benefit the Claire Cucchiari-Loring Memorial Scholarship endowment, which provides financial assistance for music students at Old Dominion University.
THE 2020 HMLO EVENT
The final "Her Melody Lingers On" event will feature jazz piano duets performed by the outstanding musicians Justin Kauflin and John Toomey at Diehn Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Old Dominion University. The concert will begin at 7:30PM, and we recommend arriving 30-45 minutes early to pick up tickets from will-call and get seated. ​All proceeds benefit the Claire Cucchiari-Loring Memorial Scholarship.

THE 2018 HMLO EVENT
The 2018 Her Melody Lingers On event took place on Friday, February 9, 2018. Following a social gathering with light refreshments in the Diehn Composers Room of ODU, the musical program was heldin the Choir Room (Diehn 1201). In an informal concert-in-the-round setting, several faculty members and ensembles in the ODU Department of Music gave a behind-the-scenes look at how they approach specific pieces of music. After performing, musicians invited questions and dialogue from the audience. No admission was charged for the event, and all donations benefited the Claire Cucchiari-Loring Memorial Scholarship.
THE 2016 HMLO EVENT
The 2016 Her Melody Lingers On event was an unparalleled success, raising a record figure of nearly $10,000 for the Claire Cucchiari-Loring Memorial Scholarship endowment! The evening featured a rare concert of jazz piano duets performed to a sold-out venue by Justin Kauflin and John Toomey. The attendees were also treated to light refreshments, a silent auction, and numerous informational and educational displays.
